I have always been passionate about achieving equality for all, ever since my early days as a civil rights campaigner. My career history started 10 yrs ago where I loved working directly in communities on civil liberties and social exclusion issues at Newham Monitoring Project (NMP), I soon specialised in race and discrimination issues and enjoyed stepping up to the challenges in making a difference.
I was invited to speak at the UKZA conference as an expert on race issues by the British Council in South Africa. I was subsequently head hunted to work for INQUEST a small Human Rights Organisation. I also worked with the Football Association The FA and assisted them with the recruitment process for the FA's independent advisory group on race. It was early on, whilst managing NMP that I discovered I enjoy the strategic elements of developing new programmes and initiatives and my creative and innovative approach has given me an aptitude for delivering results.
During my employment at The Law Society one of the projects I worked on was with Sailesh Mehta, former Chair of Society of Asian Lawyers on The Diversity and Inclusion Charter.
Currently I work with exceptional and dedicated people at Simmons & Simmons on Corporate Responsibility and Diversity
